Swapalease.com officials attribute the increase in traffic to a number of factors including job loss and the economy, greater awareness about lease transfers as an option, and a greater number of vehicle leases available for transfer in the Swapalease.com online marketplace.
Pioneered in the late 1990s, Swapalease.com’s patented process helps consumers get into and out of car leases online. The company works closely with major leasing companies to ensure that consumers have a safe and fun experience using the service.
"We attribute much of our success over the past ten years to our repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals," says Scot Hall, EVP of Operations for Swapalease.com. "Our customers come back again for a second or third vehicle and let their friends know when they’ve had a good experience. Our goal is to continue to exceed the expectations of our customers for years to come."

With the recent passage of the Cash for Clunkers bill, also known as “CARS” (Cash Allowance Rebate System), the auto industry is buzzing again with a renewed positive outlook for the future. Officials from Swapalease.com, the world’s largest auto lease marketplace, are saying that Cash for Clunkers will boost the leasing industry and help protect the environment in the process.
The government subsidized program is designed to help consumers turn in their older, less efficient vehicles and apply the government credit for it towards the purchase of a new one with improved gas mileage.
Consumers can search through a large selection of fuel efficient vehicles (including hybrids) for sale or lease in Swapalease.com’s online marketplace.
"Swapalease.com strongly supports the Cash for Clunkers program. It is good for leasing and good for the auto industry," says Richard Joseph, President and Co-founder of Swapalease.com. "We have even added a new section to our web site to assist consumers who have questions about the program, as well as explaining which option is best for their unique situation, whether it be a new lease origination or a lease transfer."
Since 1999, Swapalease.com has been helping consumers exit their car leases early with no penalties using a patented online process. Consumers looking to get into short-term leases with no money down and low payments can take over the remaining payments on these in-process leases. Lease transfers are a win-win-win situation for the buyer, seller and the leasing company since it saves everyone money and reduces repossessions.
"Cash for Clunkers will have a positive impact on the environment and the economy, and helps hard-working people that are part of the auto industry as well as those who are not. It is important to Swapalease.com that consumers know we support them," adds Joseph.
