Chrysler prices 300 Sedan at $27,995
Chrysler has announced the pricing for its 2011 Chrysler 300 Sedan this week, offering a
vehicle lease starting at $27,995.
To establish the 300 as a low-priced American alternative to European luxury sedans, the automaker is offering
lease specials in four different models. After the base sedan, Chrysler will sell the 300C starting at $31,995, the 300 Limited Luxury Package for $35,245, and the 300C AWD at $41,145.
With "jewel-like rear taillamps" and "harmonious LED illumination," the car will certainly look pretty on the outside, but the real value may be under the hood.
Chrysler is stocking the car with serious power, stemming from a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine in the base model and a whopping 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine in the 300C models.
The smaller engine delivers 292 horsepower and fuel efficiency of 18 miles per gallon in the city, with 27 on the highway. The bigger one cooks up 363 horsepower to push the car from 0-60 miles per hour in less than six seconds. That level of performance sacrifices its mileage ratings, but the engine boosts its fuel efficiency by 20 percent on flat roads by switching off half its pistons and running in four-cylinder fuel saver mode.
