Hyundai bundles Pandora personalized radio in every Veloster
If drivers of the 2012 Hyundai Veloster seem to having a lot of fun on their daily commutes, the explanation may be the Pandora personalized radio service packaged with each car delivered to
car leasing showrooms starting in September.
As part of Hyundai's effort to brand the car as a perfect
vehicle lease platform for the digital age, the automaker decided to include the internet song service as a free feature in each vehicle. The music flows from an owner's iPhone through a wireless Bluetooth link to the car's dashboard, where it plays over the standard speakers.
Listeners create their own Pandora stations by planting a single "seed" when they request a favorite artist or genre. The service takes it from there, playing similar selections chosen through listener feedback and an algorithm that compares the "musicological DNA" of different tracks and tunes.
"Veloster is a fun-to-drive, three-door coupe that exemplifies Hyundai's commitment to offering drivers the latest and greatest in-vehicle connectivity and technology," said Scott Margason, director of product planning for Hyundai Motor America. "Having Pandora internet radio easily accessible in the Veloster enhances the drive experience, allowing Veloster customers to listen to their favorite music everywhere they go."
