I thought for sure I would be stuck with paying the remaining 22 months on my Mini Countryman lease. I loved the car, but I was moving to a new location and taking the car with me made no sense whatsoever. It took less than a month for Mini to run a credit check and do all the paperwork, and I delivered the car to its new lessee yesterday. I worked directly with Carissa and I really appreciate that they had someone dedicated to my account. Not super cheap but worth the investment when you're in a bind. I sold my lease (BMW 328i) on Swapalease in a couple months and Carissa was kind enough to give me a number of connect credits as I worked to find a replacement car.
If you decide to use Swapalease, be sure to ask for Carissa. She was an amazing help in taking me through the process, checking in regularly and providing tips that enabled me to successfully find a new lessor for my vehicle. Her follow through was great and replies were always prompt. And she's very nice as well - bonus! OVerall, if you're not in too much of a hurry and really want to move on to another vehicle, Swapalease is a great option. IT took me about 4.5 months to find the right match, and 6 months to get out of my vehicle.
If you want to get out of your lease, you should work with Marc B., the account rep at Swapalease, he walked me through every step of the process of listing my Tesla Model X. Just transferred my Mercedes lease and handed off the keys yesterday! Swapalease an Carissa H (my rep) were awesome. Super helpful, easy and QUICK to help me sell the car. The sale took a week! Mercedes financial took 3 LOL! A few times I had a question or needed to change the ad or figure something out ... I emailed Carissa and usually within a few hours or first thing in the morning, CArissa replied and would help me take care of it. So easy! Highly recommend them!
Great way to sell your lease easy -professional- helpful and fast. Nick W was my agant and he is awesome! I sold within three weeks with his help and expertise. Easy to use . I suggest paying upfront and load all the pics. Don’t offer incentives at first. Gain interest then offer about two weeks in. Offer at least one month payment and to pay transfer fees. This is what I did and sold the lease within 12 hours of adding incentives. Nick always answered my emails within one hour and gave great advice and direction. He was patient and very help. I had a good experience working with Vernon M. at Swapalease. He did a good job of explaining how things would work, and he’s clearly been doing this for long enough to have a feel for how things are going to go (and when it may or may not be time to tweak incentives, as an example). I purchased the premium service and I did show up in a lot of searches and got a lot of more serious views; it took a while to get people to ping me with a serious interest in my car, but that’s not Swapalease’s fault (the car was on a relatively low-mile lease, and for a while was competing with someone whose car had obviously been parked for most of their lease — so it had more than 4400 miles/month, no typo, available on its lease ??). The TL;DR is that I was able to start the transfer my lease in about a month, which matched what Vernon had predicted. The rest of the time was just going back and forth with the leasing company itself, which just takes a while.
